"Rina Hayashi is one of the talented designers from Central St Martins... Rina incorporates traditional crafts from her native Japan into her designs. The chaps in this outfit are made from up-cycled Sakabukuro: fifty to sixty year old, non-seam bags used in the manufacture of Sake to squeeze the precious alcohol from fermented rice. The sculptural bodice piece is fabricated from Japanese bamboo cane and Washi rice paper." - Mark Hives

"Another work from the highly talented Rina Hayashi.
Like her bodice dress, Rina incorporates traditional crafts into this work. The "cup" of this mushroom dress uses Ikkan-bari: the Japanese art of bamboo basket making." - Mark Hives
